Bulbs, containers, and some pink flamingos
Today we ’re visiting with Tina Bemis in Spencer , Massachusetts .
This is the front of my theatre : the yellow , orange , and red garden . It has been in for seven years , but I double the size of it last year . I took this picture last summertime . I sprung for a palm tree ( at the far right hand of the photo ) here in New England , just because . I put the pink flamingos in as a joke . While I like a slight garden whimsy , these are n’t my normal style . I was going to remove them after I study a few pictures , but my ally begged me to keep them up : they made them smile in an otherwise dreadful year .
This winter , my pal gave me my late female parent ’s red garden cart that I had given her 30 years ago . He had bushel and paint it , but it was just ride in the basement . I state him I had the utter blot to display it in . Here it is this outflow amid the orangetulipsand yellowdaffodils .

This exposure is of the front garden subsequently in the spring . Theperennialsare fill in nicely . The daffodil and tulips are past , but I have underplanted Orange River and salmonimpatiensaround thebulbsso their leafage may wither unnoticed .
I planted about 500 bulb last fall : Allium(ornamental onion , Zones 5–9 ) andgrape hyacinths(Muscari armeniacum , Zones 3–9 ) in the disconsolate and yellow garden on the side of my house , and daffodils and tulips in the orange , carmine , and chicken garden in the front of my household . Here are the alliums present off .
Grape hyacinths glow against the backcloth of yellowSedum‘Angelina ’ ( Zones 5–8 ) .

This is the back of my house last year . Herbsand veggies are on the pack of cards , with more veg in the red hardscapeveggie garden .
finally , here are a few of my container creations . The first one feature film ‘ Midnight Gold ’ petunias(Petunia‘Midnight Gold ’ , annual ) .
This container origination is my Witch Cauldron Over the Fire .
