Beauties in a shady garden
Today we ’re heading to Dallas to see with Cindy Bolz .
You have depict my photos before ( Collecting Japanese Maples ) . My garden is always a work in progress , changing and evolving year after class . I am a Master Gardener , and my garden was scheduled to be on the Dallas County Master Gardener enlistment this class . Alas , the tour was canceled because of coronavirus remain - at - home restrictions .
Here are some fountain photos from this twelvemonth . My fixation withJapanese maples(Acer palmatum , Zones 5–9 ) continues , and in this first pic the violent one is ‘ Bloodgood ’ .

‘ Garnet ’ is a Nipponese maple with blood-red , dissected leaves with a slightly weeping anatomical structure .
The third photo demo afull - moon maple(Acer japonicum‘Aconitifolium ’ Zones 5–7 ) that is a beautiful gullible tree growing only to 8 to 10 feet in height with spectacular prominent green leaves .
My garden isshady , with a canopy of four expectant pecan trees , so I do not have lots of bloom requiring sunlight . or else , I rely on texture , foliage human body , and plant life that will bloom in the wraith , like thisazalea .

Chocolate chip ajuga(Ajugareptans‘Chocolate Saratoga chip ’ , Zones 4–9 ) is another greatplant for shadewith attractive foliage and peak .
smuggled - and - blue salvia(Salviaguaranitica‘Black and Blue ’ , Zones 7–10 or as an annual ) will also flower well in lightly shaded circumstance .
This photo shows a ligularia(Ligulariatussilaginea , Zones 7–10 ) , Everillo carex(Carexoshimensis‘Everillo ’ , Zones 5–9 ) , a Burford holly(Ilexcornuta‘Burfordii ’ , Zones 7–9 ) , hosta , and aspidistra(Aspidistraelatior , geographical zone 7–11 ) . The light patch is lambs ’ ears(Stachysbyzantina , Zones 4–9 ) .

This final exposure register the yard as I see it from thepatio .
I have been grateful for my garden during this epoch of quarantine , and each day I pass metre comport around my nippers and a five - gallon bucket , tending to the never - finish removal of leaves , twig , and the muzzy pecan ament falling this time of year .
