Today ’s photos are from Jane Donelon up in Maine . We ’ve visited Jane ’s garden twice before ( refresh your memoryHEREandHERE ) , but we ’ve never examine her house before !
She says,“Thanks to our adorable warm fall there is still quite a bit blooming in my Maine garden . And the little critter visit it are busy , too .
“ These picture were take on in former September . The first two are of my entry garden . pinkish and lavender anemones , asters , phlox , and a few late roses are buzzing with bees . On a pinkish colchicum a bantam pallid green wanderer tried unsuccessfully to avert consume its picture taken .

“ Along the driveway in a diminished rock garden , a white tumble crocus bloom along with puritanic gentian , an orange poppy , and a white nigella . Clematis pitcherii , long - blooming and tardy , is still alive with bumblebees who fit absolutely into their small nodding purplish bells . Bright yellow patrinia and the elegant red wand of Persicaria ‘ Lance Corporal ’ bring a burst of welcome color to a rear boundary line just as the folio are begin to flex . ”
I adore your garden , Jane . It ’s got a tinge of wild to it , and cottagey vibe that makes it experience timeless . Thanks so much for the update !
