Today ’s photo are from Margarita Paounova , who says,“My name is Margarita , 48 twelvemonth old , born in Bulgaria and come to USA 20 years ago . I live in Randolph , Massachusetts . After await at C of houses and searching for a bank building - owned or foreclosure house , in 2011 we bought our dream house .
All I wanted was a planetary house which is 20 - 40 long time sometime with enough land so I can have gardens . I was raise in a small village in Bulgaria ( Eastern Europe ) , my grandma had beautiful garden and I guess that ’s how I pose the love for flora , but after that I was survive in apartments and had houseplant , all I desire was gardens . As you’re able to see from the image , there was no landscaping at all , it was filth and weeds , but I had the land and my dream . My husband has a eatery and he is working quotidian 16 hours , my son is 22 long time old exit to college and having his own business organisation , at the same meter we could n’t afford landscape gardening company , or any other professional assistance , so it was all in my hands . I did n’t have any landscape gardening experience , so I start reading and research the Internet and educating myself .
First I postulate privacy , so I grease one’s palms from a local nursery 20 Thuja evergreen trees ( which was my most expensive investment ) . When they deliver them , my Logos and husband dig the holes and we embed them . A fence company set up the white fencing , a pocket billiards company changed the pool liner and meet it wit water supply . My dad did the edging around the sess with pavers and sterilise the cementum step , my hubby made stairs for one of the grass patio and this was all the help I had , everything else was done by my two hands .

First year I was dismantle and terracing the sloping land , digging heap of big stones which I used after for terrace walls and laurel wreath , seeding with grass , but then the Mary Jane take urine , sprinkle system was not an choice because it ’s too expensive , so I did my own sprinkling organisation , by connecting small-scale hoses with sprinkler , then bought water timer and I had a sprinkling system . So after 4 month laborious labor I had a little green . Unfortunately on 28th of August 2011 hurricane Irene hit us and 4 big oak tree trees settle down in our yard , the result – hole in the roof , deck was gone , metal fencing gone , grass and my first flowers give way , etc . , so I have to begin all over again .
I had to level the country again , sow the grass , etc . After all this I did some paving , by grease one’s palms the roofing tile from Home Depot , sometime I have to run to HD 4 times a twenty-four hours , because my car is belittled , and the tiles are grave .
The biggest challenge for me was working with mortar . The cementum around the pool was dull , with crack and chipped edge , so I have to occupy the cracks , make it even , mogul - washed it , than spray with cement color and at the ending seal it . The deck was attend sometime – power - wash it and than stain it . All the out-of-door furniture grease one’s palms from the internet , assembled it and with the help of my hubby and son installed it .

The ugliest space was the one around and under the deck , The arbor with the two benches , change it a lot , in addition with trump tree , grape vine , wisteria , hibiscus . Now I am having my coffee there love the fIower bloom . My favorite patch is around the big rock candy , where i planted hostas and lilies . ”
