Highlights of the year so far
My name is Chris Buscemi , and I go in Wells , Maine . You have posted my photos in the past(seeA Profusion of Pink in Maine).Here are some of my favorite photos this yr so far .
This is in my front G . I planted a pollinator garden full of pinkish coneflowers(Echinacea purpurea , Zones 3–8 ) and different - colored phlox(Phloxpaniculata , Zones 4–8 ) and grasses . It is overflowing with bees , butterflies , and my favored hummingbird sphinx moth .

My favoriteannualfor shade isBrowalia speciosa(Zones 9–10 ) . Here it is blossom next to a heavy ball ofHakonechloamacra(Zones 5–9 ) .
In spring my ‘ Bartzella ’ peony(Paeonia‘Bartzella ’ , Zones 3–9 ) bloomed for the first time . I purchased itbare rootthree years ago .
A swallowtail butterfly chat a fragrant lot oflilacflowers(Syringavulgaris , zone 3–7 ) .
Doublefile viburnum(Viburnum plicatumf.tomentosum , zone 5–8 ) in full outflow rosiness .
