" We have had more than 18 inches of rain since the first of October here in Independence , Oregon . But , I love this time of class . To be able-bodied to sit in the warmth of my home , watch football with a mantle and cat on my circle , and look out the windowpane and see the silhouetted branch , the birds that depend on us for sustenance , the changing winter sky . . . all the gifts God contribute to us . . . I am blessed . "
