Wine grapes, roses, and more
Today ’s photos come from Donald LaGrand .
I want to share with everyone the progress on my passkey plan layout of the gardens here in Somerset , California . The photos are from throughout the twelvemonth .
We have a fiddling over four acre of property , and two acre are being transformed into a massive garden layout . There ’s a rose garden , a California native garden , a lavender garden , arock garden , a butterfly stroke garden , a hummingbird garden , and half an acre of Barberagrapesthat we harvest every year and sell to the local winery .

It ’s been three years since we set forth this labor by establishing the substructure plants first , like the many trees we have planted . The 44 rose were planted bare base in February of this year . They were slow getting lay down , but once they were , they grew to 2 feet tall and produced many prime .
It ’s a labor of love , and the blueprint is ultimately starting to show its beauty as the plants begin to establish themselves and are on video display as you walk through garden in the morning with a cupful of umber in one hand and a pair of clipper in the other .
Happy gardening everyone !
