In my continued effort to be more green , I wanted to experiment with a relatively new human body of compost predict Bokashi . Bokashi is a Nipponese term that means “ fermented constitutive matter ” . It is a method acting of intensive composting that commonly uses an anaerobic ( without atmosphere ) inoculation cognitive process to bring on the compost . Once a starter civilization is made , it can be re - used . Bokashi is commonly made with only molasses , water , micro-organism called “ efficient microorganism ” or “ EM ” , and wheat bran . It has traditionally been used to increase the microbial diversity and activity in soil and to provide nutrient to plants .

The Process
