When we first moved here in 2000 there was quite a bit more Mary Jane to mow although there has always been a significant portion of the yard that is wooded . horticulture in Kansas is quite a challenge with hot , dry windy summer and winters with spate of freezing / thawing and fiddling snow cover . ”
